Palm Springs Itinerary

Well, we're headed out for another week out of Missouri, and I wanted to write up our schedule for those interested in following the Finchers. I won't promote the blog during this trip, but will probably write a little something every day to keep family and friends updated. It may not be as theological or significant as the Taiwan trip blog. On the other hand, life in California for a week will still be a cross-cultural experience.

Sunday, June 26
7:30 am - Depart Moberly to drive to Kansas City.
12:10 pm - Depart KCI Airport on Midwest Airlines Flight 100
1:40 pm (Pacific) - Arrive LAX Airport
Drive to church
4:30 pm - Church service at Saddleback Church (Rick Warren's church)
Drive to Palm Springs
8:00 pm (approximate) - Arrive at Club Trinidad Resort

No other days are specifically planned during the week, but we will be experiencing some of these activities:
Indian Canyons (hiking, souvenirs, etc.)
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Living Desert Zoo and Gardens
Boomers
Soak city Oasis Water Park
PS Windmill Tours
Joshua Tree National Park
The basic plan is to do one thing per day.

The main thing we're worried about right now is the weather. After all, Palm Springs is in the desert. Take a look at the forecast here.

Our families seem to be most worried about the earthquakes. There have been a few lately. We will be fairly close to the San Andreas Fault Line. Here is the map of recent earthquakes.

Sunday, July 3
6:00 am (Pacific)- Leave resort to drive back to Los Angeles
8:30 am - Worship service at Grace Community Church (John MacArthur's church)
10:30 am - Drive from Northern LA to return the car and head for the airport
2:10 pm - Depart LAX Airport on Midwest Airlines Flight 490
7:10 pm (Central)- Arrive KCI Airport
10:00 pm - Arrive home in Moberly
